Silver Glue

by Rowena Linley   Aug 26, 2025

The cracks are showing faint but clear
Like whispers in a shattered mirror
Each breath I take feels like a sigh
Each step I take
A slow goodbye

The weight it grows
I feel it now
A storm inside I can’t allow

The cracks are starting
Starting to appear
In my heart
In my heart
It's crystal clear
A fragile beat
A fragile sound
It's breaking me
Breaking me down

I patch the seams with silver glue
But time keeps tearing them in two
The stars above
They watch and grin
While I fall apart from deep within

The cracks are starting
Starting to appear
In my heart
In my heart
It's crystal clear
A fragile beat
A fragile sound
It's breaking me
Breaking me down

If love’s a fire
Then it burns slow
If love’s a river
Then let it flow
But here I stand with empty hands
Catching nothing
Sinking sands
