Rains' Breathe

by ddavidd   Sep 19, 2025

Let me weep in this embrace—
if any embrace
still remains.

O my friend,
how beside you
I've been left
so alone
in the depths of myself.

These passersby
flow through me
like water,
past me,
like this solitary stream
beside you.

And I,
the only one
who does not pass you by,
even as you
leave me
with your loneliness,
and rush
through me,
within me,
like a river
fleeing its own bed.

So let me cry
in the arms of this stream,
for the world,
it breathes
with weeping.
