Where We Began

by Gracy Judith   Oct 6, 2025

First rain, first look, first time my name
became softer in your mouth.
The sky cracked open like a promise,
and everything smelled like surrender.

Your hand brushed mine—
a spark too shy to call fire,
yet enough to set the hours trembling.
The world leaned closer,
listening to the hush between us.

Pavement glistened with silver veins,
each drop stitching us into the moment.
I could not tell if it was the rain
or my heart breaking open,
but something began to bloom—
wild, unashamed, unstoppable.

The city blurred,
lights melting into the rhythm of water.
And there we stood,
two names learning how to echo,
two souls beginning to believe
that forever might have started here.
