Midnight Parade

by Ki-Eisha Rose   Oct 26, 2025

The moon is a whisper
The shadows sway
The wind tells secrets it stole today
Footsteps echo where none should stay

Lanterns flicker
Eyes in the mist
A chill like a ghostly kiss

The spooks are ready
They're out to play
Dancing wild till the break of day
A midnight parade
No soul can stray
The spooks are ready
They’ve come to stay

Grinning pumpkins
Their teeth aglow
Branches claw where the cold winds blow
The ground hums low with what lies below

Shadows ripple
They start to twist
Laughter sharp as a serpent’s hiss

The spooks are ready
They're out to play
Dancing wild till the break of day
A midnight parade
No soul can stray
The spooks are ready
They’ve come to stay
