The Unknown’s Veil

by ddavidd   Oct 31, 2025

The unknown is always
guarded by senseless meaning,
a cipher wrapped in laughter,
a code disguised as dust.

Were it to show itself too clear,
it would undo
the reason of its own existence;
for the seen cannot stay infinite.

So it hides
behind absurdity and chance,
behind the stumble,
the misplaced word,
the dream forgotten at dawn.

Only those who walk
through the field of errors,
unafraid of being lost,
ever glimpse
the light beneath the nonsense,
the secret that guards itself
by pretending to be nothing.
