For five years, this lie
This deceit and denial
Has buried me and held us down
We both know the truth
Yet it is denied
For five years, Lied.
How can you pretend?
Pretend it isn't how it is
Pretend it's all in my head
That I am wrong
And my shattered mind is mistaken
When its you and the truth you've forsaken.
The reason we fail
Is a truth you can't admit
The reason we struggle
Is because its ALWAYS there
This humongous elephant is everywhere
And yet, You don't even seem to care
You just turn off your phone or hit airplane mode
And I am left here feeling my mind erode.
