Another 365 days

by Neutrino   Jul 28, 2026

Happy birthday to me
All it means is another year
Another 365 days
Where I haven't jumped into the Mersey
Or landed under a train
Another year overdose free
Just another year of still being here.

Still here, still me
Feeling and causing misery
People pretending I matter
Pretend I am special,
When they can be bothered to pretend
Pretending I even make a difference
While all the while, this distance
This knowing I'm a cancerous disease
365 more days of failing to please
And once again, that recurring question...
Is it cowardice or courage?

I don't know you, but your life does matter. You are here because God wants you here, he has a reason for you and why you are here. If you need someone to talk to reach out to me on here. I don't know your life story or anything, but I do know your life matters. Love you my poet friend

    ALSO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY
