Fish out of water (Suffocating)

Liverpool is my hometown
But Glasgow is my home
It's where my love lays
And where my children roam.

My body is here, heart and soul are there
And I really need to be back home
Back to where I am meant to be
Keeping my rhythm like a metronome.

And I feel like a fish out of water
Just flailing about and dying
Dying to be in the arms of my love
Instead of sitting alone and crying.

Wish I could meet up with my kids
Do things and go somewhere
Trapped in this emptiness
Needing to be where they are there.

Stupid mistakes and impulse
Led me to this place
When all I want is to be back home
Everything else is just a waste.

All I have now is empty
All I am now is alone
Liverpool will always be my hometown
But Glasgow is always my home.
