Somewhere Warm and Loved

by Beautiful Tragedy   Sep 17, 2026

I was somewhere warm and loved-
4am chocolate milk on the couch,
carefully selected from the back of the cooler by a man who is considerate.
I was wrapped in my favorite comfort blanket;
Supernatural on tv as the man who is growing on me sleeps ten feet away,
Fluffy cat with the softness of a bunny beside me-
I wasn’t expecting to love it here this much.
I was softly moaning into a glass of chocolate milk with the urge to go kiss him from his slumber-
The freshness was superb and hormonal me decided he deserves it,
But when I got up I found myself with you instead.
The consideration.
The gentleness.
The attention to tiny details.
Everything screamed your name.
How dare you.
I was somewhere warm and loved-
Drinking carefully selected chocolate milk on the couch of the man who got it for me,
And somehow the road to go thank him still led past you.
