Hear Me

by StarGirl   Jul 21, 2004

A lonely teenage girl, sitting back in a chair,
Looking at the blank piece of paper
Thinkin' bout life, and why she should even care.
She picks up her pen and writes...

Dear God, are you out there?
Dear God, do you even really care?
Dear God, do you hear me?
Dear God, do you even know I'm here.

I've prayed to you a million nights
without a sign that you exist.
Just one girl out of a million trying to make herself fit in.
God, why did you make me the way I am?
Just think of all the other people I could have been,
Yeah God, why can't I be them?

Dear God, do you hear me?
Oh God, where are you?
Dear God, do you even see me?
Dear God, do you even care?

So many times I've heard there is a plan for everyone in this world.
Well God, what's mine?
Yeah, what's mine?
