I told you that i loved him and i told you that i cared,
i told you that i lived my life wishing he was there.

i never wanted anything more than to be with him,
but my heart shattered to a million pieces the day that you walked in.

you came around after ages of telling me you wanted to meet my friend,
little did i know that this was the way it would end.

in those few short hours my grew along with despair,
i was helpless and could do nothing except watch you happy pair.

you flirted and you talked about the things that make you tick,
earlier you told me about the long list of boys yet it was him you picked.

i guess i gave up so you spent some time with him,
it wasn't like a competition i didn't feel the need to win.
