Hello Knife

by rachyBBY   Aug 12, 2004

Hello, dear friend
Hello, knife
I like to talk to you
You're not like those guys

You actually listen
And you feel my pain
And when I'm done talking to you
I don't feel the same

I feel much better
Like I've gotten everything off of my chest
When your blade touches my wrist..
Well, I like that feeling the best

You make all my problems
Simply disappear
And you make everything better
I always wanna hold you near

Other people don't understand
They think I'm a freak
They take one look at my scars
And tell me to hit the street

They don't understand
That you're my only hope
To make me feel better
To help me cope

I love watching the blood
Trickle down my wrist
And before I put you away
I always give you a kiss

You're the one I go to
When the going gets rough
And it doesn't even hurt anymore
Remember, I'm getting tough

But one day I'll stop
And put you away for good
I'm sorry to tell you that
But I know that I should

So, goodbye dear friend
Goodbye for now
I'll see you next time
I'm leaving now

Ehhh, this poem wasn't very good. The rhymes were to "cute" and singsongy.....they didn't fit the tone of the poem at all
