Start with Prayer

by Nobrainy_duh   Aug 16, 2004

I get up early to start me day,
I realize I'm late and forget to pray,
You paint me a sunrise but I don't see,
Because the rush of my day has blinded me,

I go through the day without a single thought of you,
The sad part is this is nothing new,
So many Christians live a life like this,
While others seem to live a life of bliss,

I wondered why then finally found,
If I start with prayer I'm no longer bound,
That night I prayed for the first time in a while,
I felt like I'd run ten thousand miles,

I am weary and tired but still give you time,
And for the first I realize this life is not mine,
It is yours O Lord and yours alone,
I give my life over for you to own,

I still have hard times but hear what I say,
Start with prayer and you'll have a better day,
And one more thing before you go,
In the valley is where everyone grows.
