The Cycle

by Brad Champagne   Aug 20, 2004

To hold inside the raging storm
Around the heart begins to form
Walls to keep emotions in
And never let love entrance win.
As the rose's thorn love pricks;
The bleeding heart then none can fix.
Slowly leaves the joy of life
As the emotional head grows light.
Spiritually death begins to pry
Apart the mind, leaving it dry.
In thinking rationally there's no
Way to reason off this woe.
Only time can heal the pains,
While the scar forever remains.
To risk the bitter cylce 'till
Living goes on as it will;
Find the special someone who
Returns affection back to you.
