An Odd Thanks

Dear God..
I know it's odd that I would write to you like this
For my belief that you exist we know is hit or miss

But if you are all knowing, then you know my heart is true
You also know I'm Odd and this is what the odd one's do

Thanks for my Uniqueness, I like the way it fits
You tailored it just perfectly to match my Charm and Wit

Sensitivity's my counter weight to balance out the Tough
And rugged side, that doesn't hide, and never takes no stuff

My Conscience has a special way of getting on my nerves
But it always gives Morality the attention it deserves

The Truth of my Sincerity is Honestly unclear
To very few, who ever knew and claimed they truly cared

Love and Lust confuse me, they're real hard to tell apart
But it's my Caring nature that is dearest to my heart

Imagination entertained me for as long as I had sight
It's expression knows no limits and though wacky its just right

Thanks for inspiration, for with out it, Talent's lost
Like this gift for writing, I dismissed and almost tossed

My protector is Resilience, it can weather any storm
In rain or shine it's Optimism goes beyond the norm

To feel the pain of others as only Empathy can bring
Is a gift and curse, also the fountain where Compassion springs

My Generosity is praised by those I've given all I had
But if they knew the pleasure gained, they'd think my kindness mad

Self Esteems always elusive, slyly hiding behind Shy
But when in need, it shows indeed, to lift my head up high

The lessons of Humility seemed harsh, but made me Wise
It keeps my Pride in check and spanks my Ego when it lies

Those attributes you gave me emphasize an Intellect
That's filled with Logic, dipped in Wonder and powdered with Respect

I know it seems my Modesty is lacking in this letter
But it's intact, in-fact it's here all dressed in Humbles sweater

I guess just one big Thank You for my life would have sufficed
But the eye you gave for detail seen specifics would be nice

Last not least is Faith you gave which made me ponder "God?"
Though I still doubt, I still believe, and Thank You that I'm Odd
