Caged

by Unseen Exposure   Sep 4, 2004

In this field
In my cage
The world watches
They stare
They point
And laugh
They whisper
And joke
Like I'm some animal
That's been captured
From the wild
Taken from where I belong
I'm different
And that's not okay
Its not accepted
I'm shunned
And its so lonely
With no one around

The reason I have this cage
Are my wings
None know
None feel
None care
But one
One shines through
There
Behind them all
He sees me
He's been here
He makes me a promise
Says he's my angel
My wings will set me free
He tells me to believe
And I do
I'm here
So I can't
So I won't
Fly away
But I can.. and I will
I'll show them
The most glorious thing
To ever understand
Is the mysterious.

** This is different from what I usually write ... Tell me what you think. **
