Bleed

by Stef   Sep 8, 2004

Seeing black as midnight falls
Hearing sobs escape my throat
My soul drifts away when
I bleed on my own.

Watching my life drain out in tears
Expecting more they wait
But I cannot please them anymore
I can't fake it and smile
They'll walk away and I'll stay
Surrounded by my faults as
I bleed on my own.

In pieces may I rest amidst my tears
Broken and tattered, but honest
The pain never heals with invisible wounds
I need help to stay alive
I long for a hand to hold, yet
I bleed on my own.

Alone, with no one to judge
No one to expect too much of me
No one to lie to, no one to hurt
Except for myself, but
I bleed on my own.

Crying into the night
Unbearable truth shows that
I'm all alone
My life flows away
Silently screaming...
I bleed on my own.
