My Friend

*one of my first poems*

I thank you for being my friend
and i know you really care,
but you have to realise what i believe
is that life just isn't fare.

I'm not going to be stupid
and try and kill myself tonight,
because i know life is a battle
and I'm going to win the fight.

I know i can be strong
to make it through the pain
and every morning i wake
to do it all again

Life has so much to offer
i don't want to leave it all behind
i want to see the world i live in
i don't want to be blind.

I just want to be happy
and normal in the end
but i will get through it all
because you are my friend.
