Starting new

Just like a falling glass,
I watched as your heart fell to the ground,
The shatter of the pieces were harsh enough,
There was no need for any sound.

And still I felt the pain you held
And I cried the tears you wept,
I dreamed the things you saw
And harldy ever slept.

They say it is easy to break a heart,
With that I do not disagree,
But when your heart is connected with the other
You can not escape the pain so easily.

You think that I have no idea
On what I put you through,
My dear you do not see that I
Was feeling just as beaten as you.

I was drowned by my insecurities,
And I was chocked by demons unseen,
I danced around my life so perfectly
It all seemed just like a dream.

You still have no understanding
On what exactly went on with me,
Why I ran away from something
That fitted together so perfectly.

I can not explain to you why
And probably never will,
Because it is something I myself
Am trying to figure out still.

I still can not apologise enough
For walking away from you,
But I am not turning back
I am living my life, starting new.
