Never stopped

by Broken Inside   Sep 23, 2004

It's not some kind of silly teenage thing,
I think it's real.
Whenever I see you walk by
My heart melts.

After so many tears,
And so many lies.
I always find my way back to you,
And softly cry.

I tell myself,
You're no longer mine.
We're just friends now.
Nothing more.

The life I once had
Softly crumbles before my eyes.
I can't stop it from happening,
It's you and your lies.

I don't try and blame you,
I'm dying to be with you.
I know it won't happen again,
But I'll always love you.

You said we'll stay friends to the end,
But what if we have something more.
Maybe we're both to blind to see,
The hidden feelings inside.

You told me you still loved me,
Now what?
You can't expect me to continue my life,
And let this heartache simply pass by.

Because we both know,
We never stopped loving each other.
And we probably never will,
Because that wouldn't be right.
