The harsh truth

by !*!Zoe!*!   Oct 3, 2004

I walk into the room and he’ll cringe
As if my face were a sharp syringe
Plunging drugs into his vein
Only causing him more pain.

He won’t ever return my calls
Or glance at me in the halls.
Yeah, it’s over and I know it
Don’t you even care a bit?

Well, you don’t love me anymore,
So you must think you’re real hardcore
If I told you the full truth,
I think that you would hit the roof.

You need to explain
Can’t throw it down the drain,
It must’ve meant something to you
To me you said you would be true.

I thought I found true love
I thought you came from above
I watched with you the big black hearse
And so I acted as your nurse.

You never really like my friends,
So now you say this is the end,
I wish it was “Yeah, I love her.”
But it really is: “Now it’s over.”
