It dissolves my concentration
This secret I cannot keep
I no longer have any peace of mind
I cannot think, I cannot sleep

It is spinning far out of my control
This secret I cannot keep
I am in way over my head
I’m treading far too deep

It eats me from the inside out
This secret I cannot keep
My heart is no longer whole
But lies in one big heap

It breaks me down and beats me up
This secret I cannot keep
The tears come like a torrential rain
But for some reason I cannot weep

It destroys this reality I’ve known
This secret I cannot keep
I’m standing at the edge of sanity
And am about to take the leap

I can’t keep it to myself anymore
This secret I cannot keep
I’ll tell you my true feelings
And face the consequences I reap
