Return to Paradise

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 9, 2004

Sometimes we act like He is dead
And ignore the words He has said
Like the first ones that the snake led
Away from Him in shame they fled

I will return with the Eve of my dreams
Escaping all of the world’s evil schemes
Following the Love that reigns Supreme
Pleasures of this world are not what they seem

I am going to laugh with the Spirit that is now living
I’m going to pray for what the Holy Spirit is giving
Let us eat now from the sacred altar of the Living Bread
For now, I’ll let the reaper cry with the spiritually dead

As I eat of the Bread, so I must drink from the cup
Lord, take my suffering and pain, I offer it up
Take the pain from my poor heart; it is all in my head
Nothing washes away sin, but the Blood Your Son shed

I dream of Eve, in this sad world of pain, where we are living
Reaping the mercy of Heaven, a place that is forgiving
