Nothing I'd rather do

by Mild insomnia   Oct 18, 2004

I'm so confused as why we're so close,
And yet so far away.
Still it makes sense, yeah I suppose,
But what else can I say?

I don't wanna wreck this,
And so I'm pretending,
Everything's just fine,
But something's a miss,
Feels like it's empty,
But I don't wanna whine.

It's not like I really know you,
But still you take up all of my time.
And there's nothing that I'd rather do,
Than sit here and just let you shine.
No there's nothing I'd rather do,
Than sit here wishing, wishing you were mine.

I hate the fact that you're miles away,
It's so goddamned unfair.
But there's no one that I can blame,
All my anger's directed there.

To the place where my thoughts live,
And where my soul hides,
Everything's just fine,
And I'll never forgive,
Myself for all the times,
But I don't wanna whine.

It's not like I really know you,
But still you take up all of my time.
And there's nothing that I'd rather do,
Than sit here and just let you shine.
No there's nothing I'd rather do,
Than sit here wishing, wishing you were mine.
