Taunts and Tears

by ~Bloodied&Broken   Oct 22, 2004

The pain she feeds upon her wrists
Upon her arms those crimson strips
Stares into the darkness, tears in her eyes
Lying awake every night she cries

They tease her and taunt her while she begs “PLEASE!?”
Falling onto the ground, upon her knees
She looks and acts like all the rest
Her life becomes the hardest test

They call her a loser, filthy, a mop
She hides ‘till she’s home, where she cries every drop.
They keep up the jokes, teasing her still
Driving her to the edge, she reaches for the pill.

Cruelty...and the next level of defense they bring is guns. And how often do they punish the bullies who drive our youth to such measures? Very good.

Very descriptive. I really like this poem, for it reminds me of myself a little bit. I hope everything works out okay, take care sweety. -Jess x
