Chains

by FTS Miles   Oct 24, 2004

There is an incredible feeling
When one loses chains,
Breaking them...
Shattering them...
Over the graves and markers
Of those whom have collapsed
Before the burden of the struggle,
(A sort of memorial to their
Sluggish failure at freedom)
Sloughing them off
To rust back into the earth.
But there is no more freeing
Experience than when
The ropes of veins
And the bonds of sinew
Fall from the bars of bones,
The overly physical-conscious grey
Dusts and oils to history,
And all that remains of a soul
Is to dance in the Light peace
Of a new beginning.
Do you remember?
