Death Of My Angel

by Shædow Poet   Oct 28, 2004

Angel, angel, hear my pleas
Feel my heart beat softly
Feel my leaking eyes, the tears
See my bleeding soul.

Angel, angel, cleanse my spirit
Wrap your hands around my own
Numb the sorrow, kill it
Drink the depression drowning me.

Angel, angel, wash the blood
Let it wither out all the aching
Let the crimson ooze away
I want ice, nothing, to stay.

Angel, angel, my sweet faithful angel,
Why aren't you doing what I ask?
Why are you still crying alone?
Why can't I see your protecting mask?

Angel, angel, please don't die
I still need you to feed my spirit
The death is still ever present
Come back, please, I mean it!

My angel, were you hurt too?
Was this death also effecting you?
Was I neglecting your kindness?
Now I must mourn without you.
