I'm Not Crazy

by Ally   Nov 1, 2004

I don't want people to think I am crazy,
I don't want to be thought of something I'm not.
I just like to have a lot of fun,
But people don't see that.
Yeah, so, I'm different.
What does it matter?
I'd rather be different,
Than all the same.
There is a saying,
That I normally go by,
"You laugh because I am different,
I laugh because you're all the same."
This happens everyday,
Except I'm not laughing back.
There are consequences when you do,
I don't want to go through that again.
People don't see who I really am,
Most of the time they see a girl,
Always laughing and smiling,
But there is a side that no one ever sees.
It's the side she hides at home,
Away in the safety of her room,
Cutting away at her arms,
And crying herself to sleep every night.
This is me, what I am every day,
But no one takes the time to see this,
No one wants to bother.
I'm just a girl not meant to be cared about.
Well now I see,
This is all I'm worth to be.
