A Blind Love

Some say love is beautiful
A blessed thing
They think its nice to be tied together
With a gold diamond ring

To love and to cherish
To have and to hold
Blindly walking through the darkness
Your heart is sold

Whipping away his tears
With the silk from you heart
Making it so you are together
You two will never part

Fighting away the demons rage
And the melody of temptations song
Holding on to his side
Keeping him strong

Sacrificing friendships for love
Telling them one final goodbye
Then turning your back
So they never see you cry

Keep strong you tell yourself
Day after day
Until all your left with is a sadness
That absolutely wont fade away

But you keep holding him up
Stay by his side
Not wanting to give up
Too afraid of your pride

Its right you say again and again
Repeated lies in your head
They suck the life out of you
Until your spirit is broken and dead

A simple smile is too much to ask
But you still hold his hand
Not wanting this "love"
To get washed away in the sand

A charm of all evil and pain
This one sided death spell
At last your legs give out
He leaves you right where you fell

You tell yourself to keep going
Not to give up now
You want to stop this torture
But you have no idea how

You find the strength inside you
To get up off the floor
Then you turn around
Heading for the door

You hear his cries behind you
Sollem and true
He tells you he was wrong
We should start things new

You turn around and run back
Your heart blind once again
Fell for their tricks and lies
The ones we call men
