Hunger Pains

You know that feeling you get
Deep down in your gut
Sharp needles stabbing in your stomach
Nothing seems to come up
Stick my hands down your throat
Arteries won't allow flow
These hunger pains are killing me
So to relieve my pain, I sink in my teeth
Drink deep from your veins
As reprieve for my hunger, the price is your pain
Guilt trips of feeding rack my brain
This hunger causes so much pain
I don't even think I need to drink
May be I'm just weak in the knees
I don't get off on your pain
I merely add your loss as my gain
May be it is a defect in my brain
All I know is I'm too sane to be insane
((Too calculating))
There is no lust for the kill
No sexual drive for the thrills and frills
Your fear only strengthens my will
Every emotion you show is another I know
Enhancing my skill, 'til you become still
We are not magical, we are not mystical
It is not fantastic, not a bit romantic
Not a gimmick like Manson's music
This is not Anne Rice, this is not a game
We are not dead and we go out in the day
Making you so self-concious
Going to make you feel so stupid
The way you judge my daily habits
Does it make you nervous, how I stare
You'll never know how much I don't care

    i was listening to the beginning of Slayer's "Seasons in the Abyss" when I read this...
    I LOVED THIS POEM; it may just be the first and possibly only poem on my favorite poems list...
    i lobed it, i am a tad obsessed with vampires but i have never written anything about them (rather questioning actually...) i love Rice she is an unexplainably well gifted authour and the fact that you even mentioned her in your work made me giggle with glee {alliteration...} your poem probably just made my day ; okay so it DID make my day...
    i loved the wording, format, EVERYTHING it was just awesome

    hey this was awesome... I saw your name in the forum and had to read your work.. I loved shojo mangas... I think you can tell by my name... :-D
    Though the hentai i thought that meant...... something "else" wink wink i might have the words wrong though.. And if you have read Anne Rice then i love you... I've read "The Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Armond, The Vampire Pandora (my fav) The Vampire Virttiro (spelled wrong) And i am now reading The Vampire Lestat.. so i think you can tell me a fan... lol anyways loved the poem.. i went on a tangent sorry lol Take care
