Imagine

by Broken Inside   Nov 3, 2004

I'm staring at the blank wall,
Imagining a perfect world.
Nothing will get in my way.
People with no problems.
Look in the mirror,
No one is staring back.
Yeah, I see my reflection,
But I have no soul.
This is the way I imagine life:
People are truly okay on the inside.
Life isn't some make believe lie.
People could really be themselves
With nothing to hide.
Take the dreams and leave me be.
I'm not the person I used to be.
Too much is in the way,
I'm divided by heartache and some pain.
You'll never know what goes on,
'Cause you didn't care enough to ask.
Your chance is gone,
It won't come back.
