I am still me
Still that girl you met that night
Still the same old girl
That stayed up talking with you on the phone late at night

I am still that girl
That never failed at making you smile
I am still that girl
For months had you for awhile

Still that sweet little girl
With what you said was a personality so rare
And such an everlasting friendship and love
We truly did share

Still that girl
Who had you grinning from ear to ear?
Still that girl
Whom you wiped away my tears

I am that same girl
That made you happy nonstop
Still that girl
That over dramatizes everything to the very top

Still that girl
With the eyes of the sea green water
The same girl
You told, my mom had to be very special to have such a beautiful daughter

I am still your very own
Little chicadie
Even though I never knew what it meant
You said it was the cutest little nickname for me

I am still that girl I was
And the one I am today
No matter who it is
This girl does not change her way

So If you think I have changed
Try and think again my friend
I am still the girl and
That girl, me, will never End

So to that guy, I want you to know
I am still that girl I always was
Still the girl
I always will be no matter what anyone does

    Hmm I have to disagree with Mario because that line makes sense and fits perfectly into the flow and theme of your piece - well done my friend on another fab write!

    The poem was really nice, i liked how you kept repeating the words "i'm still the girl" like you were pounding into his skull, repeatision is the best solution in most cases. I enjoyed the poem and i really liked it.

    Just so you know a chicadie is a little baby chicken. I enjoy your poems, perhaps i will look at more of them. Your poems seem to be a spur of the moment and seem to have a lot of emotion put into them...two things i admire.
