Crimson Way of Shame

by Unseen Exposure   Nov 10, 2004

If you have any ideas for a title, please let me know! :-)

The days have been long, but I don't think I've told you
How hard it is to carry myself and just hold through
Night seldom awakes from it's beautious slumber
Rain never halts, there's hint of tedious thunder

Crimson tear stains on a flat, over used pillow case
Arms goose bumped and cold, but will you embrace?
Walk along slowly so you're not mistaken for threat
Throw broken reminders so I won't forget

Glide hand in hand with the heartache of shame
Show me the emptiness of my mistake and blame
Trembling bodies lie still in the calm of the night
Quivering in the corners at their recent blood sight

Wilderness speaks a language we cannot comprehend
Whilst loners tread it's paths for a home or sought friend
Stabbed in the back by the cruelest of creatures
Taught by the worst, learned defeated teachers

Wandering aimlessly, hold no past and no future
Never too worthy to heal, ripping hard at the sutures
Turn to the sky and wish on one lonely bright star
Point up a finger so it can place where you are

Nearing a dead end you pause and turn around to see
Anything you ever wanted, is seldom possibility
Reach for your highest aspirations and believe
Good things come to those who wait to recieve ...
