by Brandy Sansotta   Nov 12, 2004

We were best friends, close enough to be sisters
You moved away and I never got to say goodbye.
I never saw you alive after that,
I only see you in my memories
You see, six years ago God took you from me.
You was headed to homecoming with friends of yours.
None of you wore seat belts, your friend just got her license.
She went off the road and skidded over 100 feet,
You hit a tree and died so quick.
The police said you died on impact.
It isn't fair that you are gone and the other three get to carry on.
Every November 6 I have to remember my best friend is dead all over someone that shouldn't have driven.
Everyone said you weren't in pain,
It doesn't ease the pain in knowing that you're gone
I'm just glad I at least know that you are smiling down on me.
