Lost

Sleep all day,
Stay up all night.
My perception's led astray,
My mind's not right.

What used to be good,
Is now all bad.
It's all been taken,
Everything I had.

I'm stripped of pride,
Nowhere to turn.
I can't ask why,
Just got to learn.

It's not the same,
I used to care.
My future is lame,
And up in the air.

I've lost that touch,
That forceful drive.
It was there once,
I couldn't say why.

The light is bleak,
It's growing low.
I feel so weak,
Don't want to know.

That image is crushed,
My hopes will fall.
I have no trust,
In anyone at all.

I've found a way,
To be obscure.
Yet everyday,
Is so impure.

Held up by lies,
Put down by fate.
I can't even try,
I'm a step too late.
