Broken Asunder

What did you see,
When you looked at me?
Was there any hope,
Did you already know?

Was this the plan?
Was this what you saw?
I was your biggest fan,
Now it's all gone.

When you saw the book,
Was this how it read?
Was I the fool?
Did I do it again?

With strength and heart.
I gave all I could.
It fell apart,
I knew it would.

Once again,
My dreams fall short.
Once again,
I failed my report.

I can't find reason
