Shattered

by Broken Inside   Nov 23, 2004

Shattered glass breaks the silence
As your hand crashes into the mirror.
What were you thinking when you did that?
Was it the thought of someone's head cracking
Along with your knuckles breaking.

I have no doubt in my mind
You wish for blood shed,
Great big drops of bright red
Falling, like raindrops from the sky.
Making puddles around your feet.

Everyone thinks you’re insane,
I know it’s just the opposite.
You want someone to love you,
You want someone to hold you.
It’s nothing to be ashamed of.

When there’s no other way to take out your pain,
Your intentions turn violent
Sending rushes of adrenaline through your veins.
Making anyone that passes,
Your next innocent victim.

There’s no way to stop it,
The feelings stay inside
Hidden from the blind passerby.
Insanity taking over,
There’s nothing left, all is lost.

When your spree is done,
All your victims surround you.
They take pieces from you body
To show you what you deserve.

People’s hearts were broken,
Peoples lives we’re stopped.
All because you couldn’t take it.
So you gave it to others,
So they could share your pain.
