My best friend

by In_Your_Eyes   Nov 25, 2004

My best friend may not be who you expect
Maybe it’s the way that we connect
Whatever it is, the relationship that we hold
Is worth more to me than gold

I cherish every moment spent with her
In her I can always confer
She does so much for me
I could never thank her appropriately

We laugh, we talk, we cry
To her I would never lie
With her, all my time I spend
She shows me the meaning of “true best friend”

I would love to make all of her dreams come true
If I told you that I would do it for nothing, this would be untrue
I would do it if only to see her smile
That would make it all worth while

Coffee on a cold autumn day
Relaying the stories that took place today
Those memories mean so much to me
I will never forget them, I guarantee

I love to make her laugh
I love to see her smile
To our friendship there is no end
She shows me the meaning of “true best friend”

My best friend is none other
Than my very own mother
