My War

by Johnny Marlin 2   Nov 25, 2004

Where Do I Begin?
Another Day In This Life
Nothing Comes Together
All Meaningless Strife

I Used To Have A Way
To Attack The Anger
My Defenses Are Down
These Thoughts Still Linger

I Scratch Down My Thoughts
In A Moments Time
All For What?
To Complete Another Rhyme?

The Point Still Eludes Me
I Am Giving Up Hope
For A Better Future
In Which I Can Cope

I've Made A Decision
To Start A Career
But Do I Want To Start
Alone, Or Remain Here...

I Need To Go To School
To Become A Cop
I'll Make An Effort
And At Nothing I'll Stop

Society Is Stupid
Pointless And Wrong
But Where Do I Begin
In This Miserable Throng?

If I Make A Small Impact
In This War Against Drugs
At Least I'll Feel As Though
One More Kid Can Give Hugs

I'll Do My Best
That's All I Can Do
I've Begun My Battle
With Or Without You
