Acid Tears

by BreatheNoMore   Dec 1, 2004

My core beats in agony
Acidic tears to sour blood
Hush, my heart dies
I feel nothing but sorrow throughout my soul
Now that you’ve vanished
My corpse trembles without control

Acid tears, acid tears
Can you taste them?
Do they burn right through your tongue?
Do they leave your body hollow?
Leave you with frozen words and black lungs
And a fear of what may come tomorrow

Blank ahead of me
A white wall cracked and dry
I cannot sleep to such sound
Silence- the rich man’s lullaby

I’m covered in possessions
Opportunity’s open wide
But still I tremble, starving
Emptiness lingers inside

All the while I dream of feeling whole
You complete me
The filler to this silence- the keeper of my soul
