Take Away

God, take away his tears
So he doesn't have to cry
Take away his pain
So he no longer wants to die

God, take away his cuts and bruises
So he doesn't have to hide them all
Take away his abusive father
So no one will be there to silence his call.

God, take his broken heart
So that with your help it can mend
Take away his hate and anger
So he can know that I'll love him until the end.
