Soul If Ever Complete

by BreatheNoMore   Dec 6, 2004

How long until my soul feels complete?
How soon will this song of love
Be more than just concrete

Without you now
Life seems a waste
Light doesn’t feel quite as warm
Bliss is something I no longer taste

How I long, to caress your delicate face
Whispered thoughts that say you’ll never leave
The exultation of feeling whole
Set free our souls of dismal grief

But all my stories
End so tragic
So it’s written on my heart
The fear our story may be classic

So I ask my love
Do you trust this life will last?
In the far drawn future
Do you believe we’ll have a past?

When, if ever
Will I taste your crimson lips
Rest my head upon your chest
Unseen by the world in an emerald eclipse

It seems all my stories
End so tragic
So it’s written on my heart
The fear our story may be classic

So I ask my love
Do you think our romance will last?
My affection will breathe on unconditionally
But time appears it will seldom unfold fast

Every second, every moment of life is precious
How I wish to spend these moments with you
The consequences of these interminable seconds
Leave me with this incredulous view

So in these last seconds
All I want is to lie in your warm arms
Bestow unto me the inevitable truth
Clarify if actuality is truly written on my heart
