Candy Place

by Michael D Nalley   Dec 6, 2004

It’s my honor to write about the one called Candy Place
To whom her heavenly Father saw fit to give the grace
To describe the man in the white robe and His embrace
Without completely remembering His holy face

She nearly captured the love of Jesus with words that were words of her own
I believe the Father sent Him to her in a dream so the truth could be known
That even in her darkest hour she is not alone
It’s not hard to see why the dream chilled her to the bone

So now we know Jesus lives in her dreams, and He lives in her heart
As long as He is welcome there, she knows He will never depart
Life is God’s gift to her, and poetry is her art
I know God will bless her if she follows her own heart
