Last Day

by Amanda Smith   Dec 6, 2004

To sit and pretend.
I don't care.
Say your stuff.
While im right there.
Tie the rope.
Fire the bullet.
Kill me now.
Don't you blow it.
End my sad life.
You know you want it.
One more chance.
To make my life hell.
Kill me now.
Oh, it would be swell.
Drug me while I lay here.
Put on a play.
Pretend that you care.
Act out the dying scene.
While everyone stares.
The final act.
The crowed amazed.
This is the scene.
Everyone dazed.
I become a ghost.
No longer seen.
Do it quick.
Let's not be mean.

Now that it's through.
Walk away.
Find someone new.
Another day.
I dont hate you.
The truth is...If I had my way.
I would have done it too.
I hated myself.
For years unknown.
But now you've helped.
You've let me go.
Thoughts may be different.
But end the same.
No one likes me.
I drive them insane.
But now I'm gone.
Though not through.
The story still goes on.
Just for you.
The courts may have.
Their different say.
But not matter what.
You made my day.
July 16th.
The last day of mine.
Something so mean.
Yet so kind.

This was excellent. You kept it short so ti keeps the reader's attention but still put a lot of feeling in it. Great work.
