6 months to the day

Summer is supposed to be a time
Where everyone fills with glee
But why am I the only girl
That is so sad and unhappy

I guess its better then the rain
A story that I will tell
Because this fills my heart with pain
It hurts so much as well

It started off with the sun
With small drops of rain
But no one had a clue that
My boyfriend would end in pain

He was on his 18th year
When he came across his death
He had a knife right through the heart
And I had nothing left

My parents saw us together
My mum so happy was she
But my father did not seem to understand
With me he wanted to be

It lasted for two years
Until the dreaded day
Where my favourite daddy
Took his life away

My dad had found the condoms
That I placed under my bed
He did not seem to happy
And slapped me round the head

That was nothing hurtful
But was just something light
It was my boyfriend he wanted
And started a nasty fight

I was just watching
As my boyfriend fell to the floor
Holding his own blood in his hands
I could do nothing more

I held his head in my hands
Until the paramedic took him away
I have never forgotten him
It been 6 months to the day

My daddy got arrested
And with my mum, he does not speak
He had always had a temper
And this had reached his peak

He was given murder
But yet a small price to pay
Because he will never see
He just took my love away

I will always remember you
Together we will be
