Let Me

Can you let me breathe?
Let me out of your grasp,
And let me sense something more,
More for me then anything before.

Let me smile to the world,
And believe I can do right,
Can you let me do something right?
Just to prove to my self.

Let my life go on before yours,
And breathe without your hurtful words,
And see myself for what I am,
Not what you want me to be.

Let me see my world,
For the beauty that truly exist,
Let me breathe,
And stop drowning in tears,

Can you see that I can be me?
Without you hurting my soul,
Without you hurting my world,
Let me be me and let me be here,

Let me show you what I can do,
Just let me breathe,
If you care enough,
Or not at all let me be alive.
