Shattered

When you look at the shadows on you face,
Do you ever feel helpless and alone?
trying to stay at the same pace
With a life you do not own!

Were you ever told you were fat?
But then someone said you were beautiful,
Now confused and distant I sat
Trying to solve myself riddle.

Before me lay questions,
Questions unanswered and ignored.
The answers some where lost
Please help me work out my life Lord.

Why do I feel this way?
Is it normal to hate yourself?
On my bed I would lay
As around me floated self-loathing.

I know I should change
But what really is the truth?
There answer you may think is insane
But I don't believe in truth.

Maybe because of you or because of me,
But I think the truth is a lie
It's an opinion of someone else's believes
And this truth shatters lives and dreams.

I know because the truth shattered me!!!
