Cut for Each Word You Say

by Casey   Dec 14, 2004

Should I try again?
Or just keep my mouth shut?
Should I tell you
That when I think of the old us
I almost believe in love again?

Should I bother to show you?
Is it worth my time?
To reveal my scars,
The white-pink marks on my arm
That I blame on you?

Would it be worse for me
To lie awake at night
Remembering the day
Listening to your heart beat
Seeing you smiling down on me.

What would you say
If I told you
How much you've hurt me,
If I really proved to you
Each cut for each word you say
