Lonley Echo

Lonely Echo

An echo bounces
From wall to wall
Ceiling
To
Bare floor.
It ricochets off of a cobweb
Searching for an answer.
Sails through a hole
Gnawed open by rodents.
Winds Itself around
A dusty banister
And twists around
An unlit chandelier.
Then finds it's way back
To the rotting floor board
Whose groan
Set it free
In the first place.
