Beautiful Darkness

by Idiosyncratic   Dec 15, 2004

The light slowly dies
Although it doesn't change
I close my eyes
But it doesn't get it any darker

It's perfect here
My small, enclosed world
It is so simply near
And, so, I adore it

I see what I want
Which is nothing at all
I cannot move
So I will not fall

Although I miss
Few, small things
I cannot leave-
The nothingness it brings

But now, it seems
I am cold and alone
It is too quiet
I want to go home

I change my mind
And try to see
But I feel blind
There is nothing; to me

This long journey
To get where I belong
Will take forever
But I'll follow along

I wished I had never
Departed at first
Now home seems like heaven
To my everlasting thirst
